F.A.Q
F.A.Q - meltblown fabric
Meltblown cloth is the core material of mask, and polypropylene is the main raw material, and the fiber diameter can reach 1 ~ 5 microns. There are many gaps, fluffy structure and good anti-wrinkle ability. Ultrafine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, which makes meltblown cloth have good filterability, shielding property, heat insulation and oil absorption. It can be used in the fields of air and liquid filter materials, isolation materials, absorption materials, mask materials, thermal insulation materials, oil absorption materials, wiping cloths and the like.
On March 8, 2020, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council introduced to the outside world that faced with the blowout demand for meltblown cloth as the core material of masks, the SASAC of the State Council instructed relevant central enterprises to speed up production line construction, put into production as soon as possible, expand the market supply of meltblown cloth, and provide guarantee for epidemic prevention and control. According to the special working group on medical materials of SASAC, as of 24: 00 on March 6th, the output of meltblown cloth of central enterprises reached about 26 tons that day. With the completion of the new production line, the output of meltblown cloth is expected to increase greatly in the coming week. Sasac and central enterprises will continue to intensify efforts to ensure the supply of medical materials such as raw materials for medical masks.
Basic introduction
Meltblown cloth is the core material of mask. Medical mask and N95 mask are composed of spunbonded layer, meltblown layer and spunbonded layer, in which the spunbonded layer and meltblown layer are made of polypropylene PP material.
Application range
(1) Medical and health cloth: surgical gown, protective clothing, disinfection cloth, mask, diaper, sanitary towel for women, etc.
(2) Home decoration cloth: stick wall covering, tablecloth, bed sheet, bedspread, etc.;
(3) Clothing cloth: lining, adhesive lining, wadding, shaped cotton, various synthetic leather base cloth, etc.;
(4) Industrial fabrics: filter materials, insulation materials, cement packaging bags, geotextiles, covering fabrics, etc.; (5) Agricultural cloth: crop protection cloth, seedling raising cloth, irrigation cloth, thermal insulation curtain, etc.
(6) Others: space cotton, heat insulation and sound insulation materials, oil absorption felt, cigarette filter tip, tea bag, etc.
Meltblown cloth filter material is made of polypropylene superfine fibers randomly distributed and bonded together, and its appearance is white, smooth and soft. The fiber fineness of the material is 0.5-1.0 μ m. The random distribution of fibers provides more opportunities for thermal bonding between fibers, thus making the meltblown gas filter material have larger specific surface area and higher porosity (≥75%). After high-pressure electret filtration efficiency, the product has the characteristics of low resistance, high efficiency and high dust tolerance.
Main specifications
Gram weight: 18g-500g
Width: generally 160cm and 180cm (can also be determined according to customer requirements)
Melt-blown fabric is a kind of melt-blown nonwoven fabric, which uses high-speed hot air flow to draft the polymer melt stream extruded from the spinneret orifice of the die, thus forming superfine fibers, collecting them on the netting curtain or roller, and bonding themselves.
The production process of meltblown cloth mainly includes:
1. melt preparation
2. Filtering
3. Measurement
4. The melt is extruded from the spinneret hole
5. Melt trickle drafting and cooling
6. Networking
Product use
Melt-blown cloth is mainly made of polypropylene, and the fiber diameter can reach 0.5-10 microns. These superfine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, which makes melt-blown cloth have good air filterability, and is a good mask material. In large, medium and small medical institutions, in earthquake and flood-stricken areas, in the season of high incidence of SARS, avian influenza and H1N1 viruses, melt-blown filter paper plays an irreplaceable role with its strong filtration performance.
Meltblown cloth is mainly used for:
1. filter materials
2. Medical and health materials
3. Environmental protection materials
4. Clothing materials
5. Battery separator material
6. Wipe the material
